If you’re still wait-listed
by your favorite college, stay in contact with them to show
your interest.
If you’re wait-listed by your
favorite college and still have not heard from them, don’t
give up. Usually, colleges determine how many admitted
students will be entering as freshmen in the coming fall before
they open up slots for wait-listed students. If you’re
still waiting to hear about being accepted from a wait list,
contact that college’s admissions office to let them
know you’re still very interested in attending because
they are your first choice and that you will attend if accepted. Send
additional information (such as updated grades and extracurricular
activities) that will help convince college admissions officers
they should accept you.
