As a high school Senior, your goals for this academic year are to:

1. Craft the best possible admission application, essay and supporting documents.
2. Apply to colleges and universities of your choice on time and get accepted to most (or all) of them.
3. Meet all financial aid application deadlines.
4. Receive the maximum scholarship and grant awards.
5. Make final selection of the college or university you will to attend in fall 2008.
6. Graduate from High School with the best possible grades.
7. Use summer months in 2008 to prepare for entering college.
8. Travel to your college or university and enroll as a member of the class of 2012.

Your objectives are to complete the required steps to achieve your goals.  This year you will:

• Finish researching colleges and universities of interest.
• Visit college and university campuses to get a “feel” for college life at those schools.
• Interview with college representatives (admission officers, professors, and/or alumni).
• Finalize the list of colleges and universities to which you will apply in fall 2007.
• Complete all online college and university admission applications on time.
• Complete and mail all supporting paper documents for each college and university application.
• Research and apply to scholarships you have the best chance at winning.
• Retake the SAT and/or ACT tests if you need to improve your scores.
• Prepare your parents for completing all required financial aid forms.
• Meet all deadlines for college and university financial aid applications and government financial aid forms.
• Complete all private scholarship and grant applications on time.
• Compare and contrast financial aid awards received from your colleges and universities.
• Visit campuses one final time in spring 2008 to help you decide which college or university to attend.
• Select a college or university to attend in fall 2008 and send the enrollment confirmation form or letter with tuition deposit by the required deadline.
• Promptly submit all information requested by the college or university you will attend.
• Secure and finalize all college finances (scholarships, grants, loans, and/or cash).
• Make all purchases necessary to live on-campus (clothes, computer equipment, school supplies, etc.).
• Make you tuition and housing payment for fall 2008 on time.
• Plan your trip to the college or university you will attend.
• Travel to college and enroll.
